OBSTACLE MECHANIC

Iced Door

An iced door is frozen shut. Clearing a set number of blocks breaks the ice around it.

How the Iced Door works

An iced door is frozen shut. Clearing a set number of blocks breaks the ice around it.

It is one of the core obstacles you meet through the early and mid levels, usually alongside plain colored blocks and simple gates.

How to play around it

Chip the ice while the board still has cheap matches, so the door is free before you need it.

Like every obstacle in the game, the iced door never makes a level impossible. Every board can be finished without boosters, so if a route feels blocked, the answer is usually the order in which you clear the other colors, not the obstacle itself.

Where you meet it

The Iced Door typically starts appearing around Level 150 and stays part of the rotation from that point on. Boards that feature it become more frequent as the level numbers climb.
